Distance Learning

The Pelham Public Schools is committed to providing continuity in learning for our students during the extended school closure caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. While we know that these learning activities will never replicate the learning that goes on in the classroom, we hope that continuing education for students during this time will help provide structure and normalcy during this unusual and trying time. Students/parents are encouraged to reach out to their respective teachers via email with questions about the school work.

Please read the following letters for more information about the second phase of the Distance Learning Plan, which will be implemented effective Wednesday, April 1, 2020.

Elementary K-5

  • Elementary students are expected to attend a live Morning Meeting with their teacher.

  • After the morning meeting, students can access prepared lessons, activities and assignments via Google Classroom.

  • A second live session for elementary students to interact with their teachers will be held at 2:30pm each day, but attendance is optional.

  • Each day's assignments will be posted by 3pm the afternoon before.

  • Children should not feel pressured to complete all daily learning experiences and parents will determine a pace which is best for their child and family.  Please contact the classroom teacher should you have any questions.

  • Parents should notify their respective school secretary if their children are not able to attend for a day or specific lesson.
