Honoring our Students

Dr. Champ

Dear Pelham Parents and Community Members,

Earlier this evening Principal Clark shared with students and parents that we will host a drive-in graduation on June 27, 2020 on the campus of SUNY Purchase. We are thrilled that we will be able to hold this event and thank Mrs. Clark and everyone who worked so hard to make this possible. We also appreciate the efforts of our parents who are coming up with a variety of other ways to celebrate our seniors. Tomorrow night, residents are encouraged to decorate the front of their homes with lights and Pelham swag as seniors drive the streets in decorated cars to see just how much they are appreciated. We hope that many of you will participate to give our graduates the recognition they deserve, but ask that everyone do so safely and keep social distancing in mind. I thank the many parents who have worked hard to organize and spread the word about this special evening. Please see the graphic below for more information.

Speaking of recognition, many PMHS students were recently inducted into World Language Honor Societies for their incredible achievements in French, Chinese, Italian, Latin and Spanish. A full list of inductees is available on the District website. It is important to point out that this was the first year that PMHS students were inducted into the Chinese Honor Society and we are incredibly proud of our Mandarin teacher, Daisy He, for her dedicated leadership in growing the program over the past several years. Please take a few minutes to view a video of the Chinese Honor Society Induction

Finally, I would like to remind residents that a dropbox to return absentee ballots for the school budget vote and school board member election will be available from 9am-5pm tomorrow, Friday, June 5, Monday, June 8, and Tuesday, June 9 outside of the Main Entrance of Pelham Memorial High School. All ballots, including those returned via the dropbox, MUST be enclosed in the envelope marked "Election Materials Please Expedite, Official Ballot, Absentee Voter" with the Statement of Absentee Voter signed and dated. Please be sure to follow all instructions listed on the ballot, which may also be viewed on the District website and contact District Clerk Millie Bonilla with any questions.

Sincerely,

Dr. Champ
