In-Person Instruction to Resume Monday, January 11
Pelham Public Schools

Dear Families,

On Monday, January 11, we expect in-person instruction to resume under the Hybrid Schedule at all six schools with Cohort A in person and Cohort B remote.

As we reopen our classrooms amid a nationwide surge in COVID-19 cases, the unknown effects of new virus strains and on the heels of a holiday season, it is important that we all commit to keeping our schools healthy so that we can remain open for in-person instruction. With that in mind, please keep in mind the following:

  • Students who traveled to states noncontiguous to New York are expected to quarantine for 10 days following their return to New York unless they meet the criteria for testing out of quarantine set by the state. More information about these regulations can be found on the Department of Health website.
  • Any student who is subject to quarantine because of travel or exposure to the virus must not attend school for in-person instruction and should access fully remote instruction.
  • As a reminder, we expect everyone to uphold the terms of the Public Health Agreement signed by families in the fall, which outlines expectations about health and safety protocols and laws set by the District and New York State.
  • Please continue to alert your respective principals if your child tests positive for COVID-19.

We must all continue to count on each other to take these health and safety measures seriously and I know that Pelham is up to the challenge. We look forward to seeing our students on Monday as we begin what we hope will be a productive remainder of the school year.

Sincerely,

The Pelham Public Schools
