Hybrid Model


To allow for greater physical distancing within classrooms, the District may enact a hybrid approach to learning in which students would alternate between being in school and learning from home. In developing this approach, the District considered a number of factors, including health and safety of students and staff, the ability to provide effective learning, continuity of education, the feasibility of cleaning buildings, and feasibility for parents and staff. 

Plan Highlights

  • Students will be divided into two cohorts (A & B), approximately half in each

  • Cohort A will be in school on Mondays and Tuesdays

  • Cohort B will be in school Thursdays and Fridays

  • Each cohort will rotate being in school on Wednesdays on a week-by-week basis

  • Students who are not in school on their respective days will participate in their classes from home

  • Each classroom has been equipped with a 4K document camera that can simulcast classes and learning activities to the group that is at home

  • Schools will be deep cleaned in between cohorts in the afternoon/evening
