K-5 Math
Overview
Our elementary math program is designed to have students develop their mathematical understanding, problem-solving strategies, and computational fluency and be able to analyze problems, conjecture and communicate their thinking. This balanced focus is aligned with the Common Core Learning Standards and New York State Next Generation Math.
Next Generation Math Learning Standards (New York State)
Our instructional program strives for our students to have the ability to reason and problem solve like mathematicians while also developing their skills as arithmeticians.
Parent Resources
Parent Roadmaps to the the Common Core Standards: Mathematics
The parent roadmaps in mathematics provide guidance to parents about what their children will be learning and how they can support that learning in grades K-8. These parent roadmaps for each grade level also provide three-year snapshots showing how selected standards progress from year to year so that students will be college and career ready upon their graduation from high school.
