Overview

The mission of the Pelham Public Schools, "Inspiring a Standard of Excellence for All Students," is at the core of our work. The purpose of the office of Teaching and Learning is to support all members of the learning community in their efforts to achieve that goal. This is done collaboratively with a team of highly capable and dedicated professionals including our Director of Math & Science Dr. Tom Callahan, Director of Technology Mr. John Sebalos and Interim Director of Humanities Ms. Suzanne Short. Additionally, our work is supported by our curriculum coordinators in English as a New Language (ENL), Art, Music, World Language and Physical Education/Health, as well as our professional developers, Beth Finkelstein (Math), Kate Alix (ELA) and our Instructional Technology Specialist Alicia DelMastro.

Our work is quite comprehensive and includes a focus on the provision of quality instructional programs aligned with Next Generation Learning Standards, our District's Strategic Plan and the Pelham Inquiry Cycle.
